Gemstone Reflexology and Acupressure

Over the years, I have studied Reflexology, Shiatsu, Meridian Theory and Point Location, as well as Crystal Healing. After practicing each of these modalities separately, I realized that it would be more beneficial for my clients to use all my knowledge and come up with new techniques in which I combine the use of Crystals with Reflexology and Shiatsu acupressure and essential oils. This is how Gemstone Reflexology and Acupressure were born. Instead of using my thumbs, fingers, or elbows to apply pressure to the reflex points on the face, hands, or feet or along the meridians in the human body, I use specially chosen crystal wands and massage stones. Each crystal is chosen carefully depending on its unique healing properties. Essential oils are carefully selected for each client. Come and experience a unique treatment which combines the healing powers of crystals with the gentle healing principles of Reflexology and Shiatsu!

A bit about Reflexology and Shiatsu:

Reflexology imageReflexology is a natural healing art based on the principle that there are reflexes in the feet and hands, which correspond to every part, gland, and organ in the body. Through application of digital pressure (finger and hand techniques) on particular areas of the hands, feet, and ears, Reflexology serves to relax tension, improve circulation, and promote natural functions of the related area in the body. It enhances the overall body-mind functioning. Reflexology treats reflexes not organs.
  • Relieves tension
  • Improves circulation
  • Normalizes body functions

The healing art of Shiatsu uses physical pressure and meridian stretches to work on the body’s energetic systems to promote health and spiritual well-being. It can be practiced by a therapist on a client or self-administered to reach one’s own abilities for self-healing.
Shiatsu has evolved from a Japanese tradition of oriental massage and uses the pressure of the thumbs, fingers, palms, and sometimes elbows, knees, and feet – to bring about a deep sense of relaxation and physical/emotional well-being. It works on the body’s energetic system using a network of meridians (energy pathways) that relate to the functioning of the internal organs, as well as, the emotional, psychological, and spiritual aspects of our being. Specific pressure points (tsubo) are located and worked in order to improve the flow of energy along a meridian and the function of an organ/body system. Ultimately, it improves the flow of Qi (energy in Chinese) by unblocking or strengthening the body system of meridian streams that circulate throughout the body like flowing brooks.
